Police in George are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found with gunshot wounds.
Police spokesperson, captain Bernadine Steyn, says the bodies of 35 year old Annemarie van Loggenberg and 39-year-old man Willie Venter were found in a holiday apartment in Wright Street yesterday afternoon.
They were both from Johannesburg.
Steyn says police were informed about a hole in the window of the apartment and went to investigate.
"Upon arrival, police noticed a body inside the apartment and broke a window to gain entry", Steyn said. The body of the woman, with a single gunshot wound, was lying on the bed, while that of the man was on the floor.
A fire-arm found on the scene is believed to have been used in the incident.
