Eleven suspects are in police custody following their arrest for running an illegal distillery in Gauteng.
Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello says a multi-disciplinary task team pounced on a property in Kathlehong on Tuesday where they confiscated illicit liquor to the value of R 5 million.
She says 10 of the suspects are foreign nationals and will now be processed by the Department of Home Affairs.
The suspects will be charged with operating an illegal micro-distillery, contravening the Liquor Act and the unlawful possession of ethanol.
