Police clamp down on abuse of state resources

 Police management in the Eastern Cape is clamping down on the abuse of state resources.

Eastern Cape police operations officer, major general Zamutonga Mki, has ordered an investigation after spotting two police vehicles parked at a mall in King Williams Town on Sunday.

He said when he approached the drivers of the two vehicles they could not produce the required trip authority to be in King Williams Town.

He says a patrol van belonged to the Keiskammahoek police while a VW Golf belonged to police in Mthatha.
