Uitenhage police are urging women to take care of themselves.
The appeal follows several rapes reported to Kwanobuhle police this week.
Police spokesperson, lieutenant-colonel Priscilla Naidu, says in one incident a drunk 13-year-old girl was raped by a man in his car outside a tavern.
She says in another incident a woman walking with her child managed to flee from several men who tried to lure her into a nearby bush.
In the third incident an inebriated woman was allegedly raped by a man when she went to a neighbour for a cigarette.
"Even thought suspects are arrested in most cases the safety of our woman and children are a priority, festivities are often celebrated with going overboard with alcohol and we are appealing to the vulnerable groups in our society to take care of themselves and to ensure that a responsible person is with them during this festive period" Naidu said.
