Plett man arrested for rape

A man from Plettenberg Bay has been arrested on a charge of rape.

Police spokesperson, Captain Bernadine Steyn, says the 43-year-old man was arrested at his home in Kwanokuthula on Sunday afternoon.

She says the 29-year-old victim had returned to the man's house to collect her personal belongings when the alleged incident took place.

Steyn says he will appear in court on Tuesday.
