The wreckage of a light aircraft that went missing on Saturday has been discovered near Oudtshoorn.
The pilot and his passenger, who died in the crash, departed from George and was expected to arrive in Graaff-Reinet at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon.
A search team was launched when they did not arrive at their destination.
In the meantime, pilots of the AMS specialised rescue services confirmed that the wreckage of the Cessna was discovered near the Oudtshoorn Army Base Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie said police, as well as aviation authorities, are investigating the cause of the crash.
Pojie said two bodies were found at the scene.
He said they were awaiting test results before the identity of the deceased can be confirmed.
