Theft continues to be the number of reported crime in Grahamstown as the 40th edition of the Standard Bank National Arts Festival draws to a close.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, says most of the goods reported stolen were high-end electronic devices.
She says many people continue to leave goods in plain view in their cars.
Speakign to Algoa FM News, Captain Govender issued the following caution.
"A few burglaries in and around Grahamstown, not really Festival related. However, with people that are staying here it could easily happen," said Govender.
"We just urging festival-goers and members of the community who are in Grahamstown to be more cautious and more responsible around their equipment and possessions at this time," she said.
