One person has been killed and four others injured, one seriously, in a three-vehicle crash on the Perseverance Road in Port Elizabeth.
The accident happened at around 10.30 am on Tuesday.
Three vehicles, an Isuzu bakkie, a blue Ford Icon and Mercedes truck were involved in the accident.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
Despatch police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
Police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says the victim was a 28-year-old man who was the driver of the Isuzu bakkie.
She says the truck driver was taken to a hospital in Port Elizabeth and the occupants in the Icon did not sustain serious injuries.
The name of the victim will only be released once the next of kin have been informed.
