Perlie poachers arrested following high speed chase in PE

Two men have been arrested by Port Elizabeth police for being in possession of perlemoen.

Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder, says the men were arrested on Sunday night following a car chase that began on Marine Drive and ended in Helenvale when the fleeing car crashed into a police vehicle.

He says police found illegal perlemoen in the car and arrested the two occupants who are said to be in their thirties.

They will appear in court soon.
