Two young Port Elizabeth men have appeared in the city's magistrates' court in connection with last week's theft of Buddy the penguin.
They owned up to breaking into the Bayworld facility last week and stealing the three year old male penguin.
Bayworld said earlier that the youths had expressed remorse.
The accused are 18-year-old Emile du Plessis and 22-year-old Adrian Donian.
They were not asked to plead during this afternoon's brief appearance and were released on warning.Their next court appearance is on the 3rd of November.
