Police in Despatch are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a pedestrian was killed following an accident between two vehicles on the R75.
Spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, says the 37-year-old driver of a maroon Ford Ranger collided with a white Toyota Quantum that was crossing the R75 at about 10 pm on Sunday.
He says the vehicles both spun after the collision and one of them hit two unknown pedestrians who were walking near the intersection.
Beetge says one of the pedestrians, a 40-year-old man died at the scene while the other one was rushed to Dora Nginza Hospital with serious injuries.
The name of the victim is unknown at this stage.
