A 25 year-old Port Elizabeth woman was stabbed to death for R250 on Monday afternoon in Moutuma Street in Kwazakhele.
Police constable Mncedi Mbombo says the deceased and her 39 year-old boyfriend had an argument over money.
The man stabbed her in the chest and she died on the scene.
He immediately phoned an ambulance but by the time they arrived on the scene she was already dead.
The suspect was arrested and will appear in court soon on a charge of murder.
