PE woman held at knifepoint on smallholding

Port Elizabeth police are searching for three suspects who held a woman in her house in the early hours of Tuesday morning and robbed her of a cellphone and a thousand rand in cash.

Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the robbers struck shortly after one at a small holding at Sardinia Bay.

The 62 year-old woman was still awake and was watching TV when the suspects broke in.

They threatened her with a knife and ransacked the house.

Van Rensburg says the suspects fled after the woman hit the panic button
