Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of robbery following an incident which took place in the parking lot at Baywest Mall.
Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says two patrons were accosted by a knife wielding teenager on Thursday night in the parking area outside.
The suspect managed to flee with a pair of ice skates.
The general Manager for Baywest Mall Sonja de Necker says the entire incident was captured on CCTV camera and the footage was handed over to the police.
She says Baywest has 230 high tech CCTV cameras throughout the mall and parking area, with 32 new cameras to be installed in the coming weeks.
De Necker says the safety of patrons is a first priority and police officers have been asked to have a presence during peak times at the mall.
