PE teen wins international chess tournament


 A 13-year-old girl has become the youngest South African to win the world chess federation title of Woman International Master.

Charlize van Zyl, of Collegiate Girls High School in Port Elizabeth, won the women's division of the FIDE Africa zone's 4.3 championships in Gaborone, Botswana, last week.

Chess SA reports on its website that the title of FIDE Master was won by South Africans Dr Deon Solomons and Calvin Klaasen
