PE teen shot in stomach

Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of attempted murder after a teenager was shot in the stomach.

Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the 16-year-old was with five of his friends sitting in an outbuilding in Arcadia when a suspect appeared at the door.

She says the man started shooting inside the room and only injured one of the teenagers.

Naidu says the incident happened at 1 am on Friday morning.

A case of attempted murder is under investigation.
