PE teen shot in leg by unknown gunman

Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of attempted murder following a shooting incident in Bloemendal last night.

Captain  Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says a 16- year -old was shot in the leg by an unknown person.

She says the attacker approached the teenager while he was helping his neighbours fixing a car and fired shots.

He was taken to Mercantile Hospital.

Janse Van Rensburg says the motive for the shooting is still unknown, and no arrests have yet been made.
