Port Elizabeth police are searching for four suspects who robbed a supermarket chain store in Walmer early on Sunday evening.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said the store manager was accosted by a person while standing at the door.
She said he was joined by three other suspects who threatened the manager with a firearm before taking him to an office and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.
Janse Van Rensburg said the robbers also took cigarettes before fleeing.
“No shots were fired and no one was injured. The suspects fled in a white VW Polo,” she said.
