Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder after the body of an off-duty security guard was found in Veeplaas on Friday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre’ Beetge, said that the body of 42-year-old Ludwe Papu was found in Kani Street with a bullet wound to the head.
“A case of Murder was opened at Kwazakele SAPS and is investigated by the Provincial Organised Crime Investigation team,” Beetge said.

Cluster Commander, General Dawie Rabie has expressed his concerns about the sudden spike of murders committed with firearms in the past week adding that the SAPS would work around the clock to catch the perpetrators.
