Port Elizabeth police arrested ten suspects and seized three firearms and hijacked cars in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, said police swiftly responded to several criminal incidents in New Brighton.
Among the vehicles recovered was a VW Polo stolen at gunpoint from its female owner.
In another incident, the Chevrolet Spark which was hijacked from its taxi driver in Kwazakhele was found abandoned.
Beetge said in an unrelated incident, SAPS Flying Squad members spotted a suspicious white Toyota Hilux bakkie at a petrol station in Norongo Street, New Brighton at 08:15 on Saturday morning.
"On searching the vehicle and the four(4) passengers, two 9mm pistols, two magazines and 18 rounds of ammunition were found and confiscated."
"The firearms were found with their serial numbers removed, and will be sent for forensic and ballistic analysis," he said.
All the suspects will be appearing in court soon.
