Police in Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth have appealed for help in identifying the body of a man who was shot dead in footpath late Saturday night.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the man’s body was found by a member of the public.
“A passing police vehicle was stopped and the matter reported to them. The deceased, believed to be in his early 20’s sustained two gunshots to his head,” Naidu said.
“He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie top and Adidas takkies. He had a black rucksack attached to his back.”
Naidu said no on in the area heard or saw anything happen and the motive is unknown.
“Police are investigating a case of murder . Anyone who can assist police in their investigation is asked to contact SAPS Bethelsdorp on 041 4043009,” she said
