The South African Police Service said the Humewood Community Service Centre has been closed temporarily after a member tested positive for the Covid19 virus.
SAPS said that the CSC would be operating from the Hobie Beach Ski Boat Club.
“Assistance for response attendance to be channelled through to 10111.”
The affected offices will be decontaminated and the community will be informed when it will be re-opened.
“SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this,” said Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo.
Meanwhile, Eastern Cape police said on Friday that several police stations that were closed due to Covid19 are back in operation.
Provincial police commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga, on Friday that Port Alfred, Nemato, Cathcart, Glen Grey, Lady Frere, Sterkstroom, Molteno, Queenstown, and Cradock that these police stations were now open.
