Port Elizabeth police have opened an inquest docket, after a man in his 40's was found hanged in a restaurant in the Bridge Shopping Centre in Newton Park.
Spokesperson, Capt Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the man, who was out on bail for the murder of his Fernglen wife in September last year, was found in the smoking section of the restaurant in the early hours of the morning.
She says he was expected to appear in court again on the 17th of February.
Janse van Rensburg says his name will be released after his next-of-kin have been informed.
