Port Elizabeth police are hunting for two suspects who robbed the Kwadwesi Post Office on Monday morning of an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said a female employee was confronted by an armed suspect while his accomplice was on the customer services side of the Post Office.
She said the gunmen forced the cashiers into the kitchen and demanded cash from the safe.
Janse Van Rensburg said they took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.
No one was injured and no shots were fire during the robbery.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist with information in tracing the suspects to contact the Kwadwesi SAPS on 041 405 470 5 or the Crime stop number 0860010111 or the nearest police station.
News of the robbery on Monday came after the Post Office confirmed six robberies at branches countrywide last week while saying that increased measures also helped foil two other robberies at PO branches in the Eastern Cape and North West.
