Port Elizabeth police are appealing for help in tracking down the driver and occupants of a VW Polo following a hit and run accident in Seaview over the weekend in which a man was killed.
Nineteen year old Mpumelelo Apeleni died after the occupants of a silver VW Polo allegedly drove deliberately into him and some friends while they were walking on the road in the Bushy Park area on Friday night.
One other person was injured in the incident.
Its further alleged that the occupants of the car threw a bottle at Apeleni and his friends and also hurled racial abuse at them, moments before driving into them.
Anyone who may have information on the occupants of the car, which lost a mirror, should contact the Walmer police.
