PE police probe burglary at Algoa Park supermarket

Port Elizabeth police were on Saturday at the scene of a burglary at a supermarket in Algoa Park, during which the safe of a bank's automatic teller machine was broken into.

Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg says it is not known how much money was stolen during the burglary.

She says it is believed that access was gained during the night through the roof of the supermarket.

No further details were provided, and the police investigation is continuing.
