Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of house robbery after three armed suspects stormed into a home in Sardinia Bay, and tied up three family members in the early hours of Monday morning.
According to police, the 48-year-old complainent was watching TV with his wife and sister in-law when the three suspects armed with knives and a crowbar entered their home through an open sliding door shortly after midnight.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the suspects tied the three victims and locked them up in the room before ransacking the house.
She says the unknown suspects fled with among other things; five television sets, two laptops, four cellphones and an undisclosed amount of money.
No serious injuries were sustained during the robbery. Police are appealing to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward.
