PE police investigate attempted murder in Motherwell

Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of attempted murder after an attack on a woman in Motherwell on Tuesday night.
Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu, says the 39-year old woman was at home with her family when a man knocked on her front door and said he was delivering a letter.
When the woman opened the door and took the letter, she was shot in the head and shoulder.
She was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Gwavu says the motive behind the attack relates to a love affair.
