Port Elizabeth police have arrested two suspects following an attempted business robbery at an Engen garage in Motherwell.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Dumile Gwavu, says one of the suspects threatened a security guard with a firearm late on Thursday night, and demanded that he open the shop in order to access an ATM machine.
Gwavu says police arrived at the scene and warning shots were fired.
The suspects fled, but police managed to arrest two of them.
They are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
The two other suspects are still at large.
Meanwhile, Eastern Cape police are still searching for a suspect who shot and killed 25-year-old University of Fort Hare graduate, Ludwe Zembe.
Police spokesperson, Lt. Khaya Tonjeni told Algoa FM News that Zembe was shot five times outside Buccaneers sports bar at the East London Beachfront in the early hours of last Friday
He said the deceased's friend was also shot in the buttocks, while a young woman was stabbed
