A 35-year-old man from Central in Port Elizabeth is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Monday on a charge of dealing in drugs.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the suspect was arrested during a multi-disciplinary operation by SAPS Humewood.
She says a search warrant was executed at a premises in Parliament Street, where 1237 mandrax tablets, 559 grams of 'khat' and a large amount of cash were confiscated.
The estimated street value of the drugs is R140 000.
