Port Elizabeth police are seeking community assistance in tracing two house robbery and murder suspects after a man was shot and killed in Polar Park in the city's Northern Areas on Friday evening.
Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says it is alleged that 40-year old Mwabusa Bushendwa and his son were in their house in Pearce Street, when someone knocked on the door.
She says two armed suspects entered the house, after which an argument ensued.
The suspects instructed Bushendwa's son to go to his room, and a short while later, a shot was heard.
The son found his father with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
The suspects took two cellphones before fleeing the scene.
Bethelsdorp detectives are investigating cases of house robbery and murder.
