PE police arrest 75 in weekend crime fight operation

Police in Motherwell and Kamvelihle in Port Elizabeth arrested 75 people in crime-fighting operations over the weekend.
Police spokesperson Dumile Gwavu says twelve of them were apprehended on outstanding arrest warrants, and 11 for drunken driving.
The others are suspects in a variety of crimes, including assault, domestic violence, housebreaking and theft, and the posession of drugs.
Police also confiscated drugs, a cellular phone, ten knives and a spear.
