PE police appeal to public following high-speed car chase

Port Elizabeth police have called on motorists whose vehicles were damaged during a high-speed chase on Sunday to contact the police.

Two men in their thirties were arrested in Helenvale early last night for being in the illegal possession of perlemoen.

Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder, says several cars were apparently damaged when police pursued the suspects from the beachfront, through several suburbs, before their car was involved in a collision with a police vehicle in Helenvale.

He says anyone whose vehicles were damaged should contact the Humewood police.
