Five shot in drive-by shooting in PE

Five people are in hospital following a drive-by shooting in Helenvale on Sunday.

Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder, says the incident happened in Kobus Road at around 3pm.

He says the occupants of a maroon car opened fire on a group of men who were in the street.

A 49 year old woman and a 10 and 12 year old child were wounded in the shooting.

The other two were the suspects.

Rheeder says they're investigating whether the incident is gang related.
