The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa, Denosa, says nurses, who work at the Motherwell Health Care Centre in Port Elizabeth, will be back at work on Saturday following a strike since Monday.
The staff downed tools after a nurse was attacked by a patient last weekend.
They were also unhappy about other issues - including a shortage of ambulances.
Denosa regional organiser, Vuyo Nodlawu says they met with Eastern Cape Health MEC, Sindiswa Gomba and other stakeholders, including the community, and a resolution has been found.
Nodlawu says they also discussed the ambulances shortage at the centre.
