A 29-year old Nigerian national has been found guilty in the Port Elizabeth High Court of the premeditated murder of a man at a mosque in South End.
Mohammed Aliko was arrested in September for the murder of 44-year old Muhammed Laher.
Laher, who was wheelchair-bound, died after he was assaulted and stabbed in the ear with a pencil, while praying inside the mosque during the Muslim holy month of Ramadaan.
Aliko, a NMMU Human Resource honours student, was arrested after returning to the mosque for prayers.
