A PE man is in a stable condition in hospital following a shooting incident in New Brighton.
Police Spokesperson warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu says the victim was busy doing repairs at the New Brighton shopping centre when he was accosted by two men.
They tried to steal his tool bag which was tied around his weist and got impatient when they struggled to get it.
Gwavu says one suspect then pulled out a fire arm and shot the victim in each one of his legs.
They also stole his bakkie which was later found abandoned in Kwazakhele.
