A 39-year-old security guard was shot and killed execution-style at his home in Zwide on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says Bheki Mjanyelwa was also shot and wounded in September.
On the 18th of September Mjanyelwa and a colleague were both shot and wounded whilst sitting inside an unmarked white Isuzu Bakkie.
The two stopped in New Brighton to pick up a third person shortly before 5 am.
During this incident, Mjanyelwa was shot in the left side of his chest and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Beetge says he was only discharged from hospital a week ago.
He says on Tuesday morning his wife was busy washing him when an unknown armed suspect entered their home and forced him to kneel, after which he was shot once behind the head.
The suspect then fled the scene and is still at large.
