A woman from Port Elizabeth had a lucky escape on Tuesday afternoon after a stationary truck rolled onto her vehicle in Diaz Road.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says it is alleged that the truck driver stopped in Potgieter street at the Parsons Hill Primary school to pick up his child.
She says when the driver returned from fetching his child he found that his truck was not where he left it.
The road was closed for about an hour in both directions while the female driver in an Opel Adam was being removed from the vehicle.
She was taken to a nearby hospital for observation.
Police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving.
