Port Elizabeth police are on the hunt for a suspect who shot and killed a 37-year-old man and injured his 36-year-old friend in Bethelsdorp.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said Gary Niemann and his friend were walking in an informal settlement in Extention 32 on Thursday afternoon when several shots were fired at them.
She said when police arrived on the scene they found Niemand lying in the gravel road with a gunshot wound to his face.
His friend was found at a nearby house, also with a gunshot wound to his face.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage and anyone who may have information pertinent to the incident should contact the police.
