Port Elizabeth police are searching for at least 8 men following an armed robbery in Bethelsdorp on Wednesday evening in which a middle aged man was killed.
Captain Johan Rheeder says the suspects burst into a house in the northern areas suburb and fired several shots at a 50-year-old man who was counting stokvel money.
Rheeder says the man died at the scene.
The shooters fled with a large amount of money.
Rheeder says the incident is not believed to be gang related and that police are investigating a case of armed robbery and murder.
