Two 18 year old men have been arrested at a smallholding in Theescombe outside Port Elizabeth where Kabega Park police seized a large number of dagga plants valued at 35 thousand rand.
Captain Johan Rheeder says police acted on information and swooped on the premises just after six o'clock on Thursday morning.
He says the two youths appeared to be operating a highly organised dagga growing facility in the house as every room was equiped with lighting, water and other materials for the express purposes of cultivating dagga.
An unlicenced 6.65 revolver and several rounds of ammunition were also seized during the raid.
Rheeder said the two young suspects were being held at the Kabega Park police station and would appear in court on Monday.
