Police in Port Elizabeth have made an urgent appeal for eyewitnesses following a fatal hit and run accident in Greenbushes on Sunday.
Police Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the 35-year-old Anole Speelman was walking with his friend in Mission Road at about 17.30 when a blue Toyota Corolla came speeding past them.
She says the driver collided into Speelman and fled the scene.
Police are making an urgent appeal to any witness and the driver of the vehicle who fled the accident scene, to come forward.
Speelman later died from his injuries.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation and more charges could be added.
