A young Port Elizabeth man has died after being hit by a stray bullet while acting as a linesman at a social soccer match in Bethelsdorp.
Police Captain Stanley Jarvis, has named the deceased as 21-year-old Shaun Daniels.
Jarvis says while the soccer match was underway last night, two unknown men ran onto the field and started shooting randomly.

Jarvis says no-one at the game had links to any gangs in the area and the motive for the shooting remains a mystery.
No-one has been arrested.
