PE man killed at Cape Receife waterworks

A 57-year old Port Elizabeth man was fatally injured, while cleaning equipment at the Cape Receife waterworks over the weekend.

Police Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the man was cleaning a conveyor belt on Saturday, when it suddenly started moving.

She says the man was crushed, and he died at the scene. Police have opened an inquest docket.
