Two people have been stabbed to death in taverns in the Eastern Cape.
Police spokesperson, Lt-Col Priscilla Naidu says a man was stabbed to death in Kwa-nom-zamo on Saturday while drinking with a friend, when they started arguing about their manhood.
She says one of the men was stabbed twice in the chest with a knife, and he died at the scene. The attacker was arrested.
In a separate incident, a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in Oyster Bay over a game of pool.
Naidu says the man and a friend started arguing during a game of pool at a local tavern.
She says the 25-year-old suspect became enraged and stabbed his friend once in the face and once in the chest. The man died at the scene and the suspect was arrested.
Both men arrested will appear in the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court on Monday.
