Port Elizabeth police are searching for 3 armed men who robbed a man of a substantial amount of cash earlier on Thursday.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says the 34-year old victim withdrew money at an ATM in Commercial Road, when he was confronted by the suspects.
The suspects forced the man into his vehicle, and demanded that he withdraw more money at other ATM's. He told them that he had reached his daily limit.
Labans says he then stalled his vehicle at an offramp on the N2, and the suspects got out and fled.
He says the man tried to follow them, but he was stabbed in the arm with a knife.
The victim drove himself to hospital but noticed a police vehicle on his way and stopped to report the crime. Paramedics were called to the scene.
