A 26-year-old man handed himself over to police in Port Elizabeth nearly a month after he allegedly shot a younger man in the stomach.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the incident happened on a Sunday evening on the 25th of November in a street in Salt Lake.
According to the 20-year-old victim he was walking in the street when the suspect passed him, pulled out a gun and started firing shots.
The complainant was shot in the stomach.
Naidu says the incident is gang-related and the suspect will appear in court on Friday on a charge of attempted murder.
