Detectives from Gelvandale in Port Elizabeth are hunting for four suspects who shot and killed a 51-year-old man on Wednesday night.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said that Trenton Bain and his fiance' were about to retire for the night when they heard a noise at the door.
She said when Bain went to investigate he was shot through the door of the outbuilding in Coode Street.
Naidu said four men entered and fired more shots at him before fleeing in a white VW Golf.
The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.
