Another PE police station closed due to Covid19

SAPS

The South African Police Service said that the Kabega Park police station in Port Elizabeth has been closed after a member tested positive for Covid19.

National police spokesperson, Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo, said that part of the Community Service Centre would be operating from the satellite station at Rocklands where the public can report serious crime.

“The other part of the CSC will be operating from the SAPS information desk at the Baywest Shopping Centre,” Naidoo said.

He said the public could complete affidavits, make accident reports and permit applications at this Centre.

Brigadier Naidoo said that the Kabega Park police station will be decontaminated and the community would be informed when it would be reopened.

Meanwhile, SAPS also announced the closure of the Community Services Centre at Mount Road police station after a member tested positive there.

“SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this,” he said.
